Daniel C. Rengert, age 82 of Waldo passed away Monday, February 16, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 16, 1944, to the late Curtis G. and Esther F. (Heimlich) Rengert.
Dan was a 1962 graduate of Cardington Lincoln High School. He has worked as the President and General Manager at TODCO until his retirement. Dan was a member of St. John Lutheran Church Windfall and Ag Credit Board.
On June 14, 1964, Dan married Marilyn J. (Mosher) at the Methodist Church in Cardington. Marilyn preceded him in death on March 30, 2017.
Dan is survived by his son Don (Laura) Rengert of Waldo, daughter Angela Martin of Waldo; four grandchildren: Daniel (Jessica MacMaster) Rengert, Faith (Caleb) Spinneweber, Wesley (Adison) Rengert and Courtney (Dylan) Kelley; nine great-grandchildren; his sisters Patricia McCorkle of Columbus and Peggy Rittler of Lewis Center, his brother-in-law Dean Bollinger of Marion; as well as friend, Beth McFann of Marion.
In addition to his parents, Dan was preceded in death by his sister Ann Bollinger.
Friends may call on Thursday, February 19, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at St. John Lutheran Church Windfall, 5070 Newmans-Cardington Road. E., Cardington, Ohio 43315. The funeral service will be held at St. John Lutheran Church Windfall on Friday, February 20, 2026, 10:30 AM with Reverand Adam Sornchai officiating. Following the service, the burial will take place in the Windfall Cemetery.
